The National Gallery of Canada is one of Ottawa's premier art galleries and is housed in an impressive building, which was built in the late 1980s. An important part of the cityscape, the National Gallery of Canada stands in the central part of Ottawa and contains many extensive collections of paintings and sculptures, including art works by famous artists, such as Rembrandt and Pissaro.
